I am a lesbian and consider myself to be a strong woman...but yes, the most fulfilling thin I have ever done was to be a mother, a wife, a daughter. Fulfilling my inner drive to be a caretaker, honoring the parents who cared for me and helping raise an amazing child...so much better than my career. And yes, I did earn a doctorate and have an esteemed career. There was still a hole in my heart and I am not ashamed to admit that.

Butker can speak his opinion and others are free to disagree. And this is exactly what is happening. Neither of these positions are wrong, but we have so many social media platforms, like this Youtube channel, that insist that only one side is correct and the other is wrong.

That is the first time in a very long time (maybe ever) that I have heard Whoopi say something that wasn't idiotic (at least that wasn't scripted... some of her lines in ST:TNG were pretty smart).

I was born a catholic, grew up in a small catholic village, and pretty soon found out that it doesn't work for me. Also, I don't share many views Harrison Butker gives in his speech. However, I just don't manage to feel offended in the least bit. He has given his opinion in a very honest and committed way, and I salute him for that. More power to honest people who freely speak their mind.

I saw a meme making the comparison between Butker and Kapernick; however, the first spoke as a Catholic at a Catholic college he was invited to speak at but the latter “spoke” on the job, prior to a game. Seems like a significant difference.
