Under Armour SportsMask!
#maskup #underarmour #bestmask #masks #covid19 #2022

In this video we are unboxing and reviewing this new SportsMask by Under Armour. I was lucky enough to be able to secure a Pre-Order for this mask about 6 weeks ago, when they first announced it, and I am so glad I did! This mask is marketed for fitness and exercise but I saw the potential for this mask to work well for people who also work in the construction trades, in the heat all day outside, doing inspections / working in the elements, in a hot kitchen all day or warehouses, firefighters / EMT / police, or anyone needing extended use for wearing - basically a shout out to all my Essential Workers out there looking for a solid solution - Thank you by the way for EVERYTHING you do in these crazy times!

I've tried a whole bunch of masks since our world has changed due to Covid-19, and I've not had much good luck. Most are hard to breath with, hold moisture and sweat, are uncomfortable and just straight up do not work. This mask has been a pleasant change to all that - it's light, cool to the touch, the ear straps do not irritate me, it does not become saturated with sweat, and overall is just an amazing take on this new and emerging market to make the best protective and functional mask!

Yep. Wore it upside down. That’s what happens in life sometimes - Plan for the best, expect that you’ll make dumb mistakes. At any rate, it still felt and fit great - take that for what you want. Been wearing it correctly now and it’s amazing either way. ✌🏻

Hey, as a doctor, this isn’t all that bad. Yes, vent arent great- you can still spread a respiratory virus like SARS-CoV2 (COVID-19). From the medical side, the nose and chin parts are ok- nice seal but fogging suggests air leaks. Behind-the-ear mounting (compared to around-the-head) is less effective at keeping the mask strongly pressed to your face; at least without being so tight, u lose your ears.. Mostly, it’s the material; there is some but truly very little protection against breathing virus particles in. I truly think the route to take is a shell made by many and all use some small selection of pre-formed/sized filters that have the needed N95 filtering properties.

I haven’t gone through your videos too much so I’ll apologize in advance if you already spoke to these items. Thanks again for the video.

I got this mask at Disney Springs in Orlando, FL at Under Armor. And they measure your face to give you the right size on what you need. It’s worth it. Haven’t had any issues at all.

I wear mine upside down too. It slides off my face when I talk otherwise. Fits really well upside down

I don't work for UA nor do I have any issues with them or any other of their products that I own but this is my honest review of this mask.

I tried it on a 5k walk, a 20k bike ride, a 10k indoor row and a sit down and watch tv mode.

At £26 inc p/p from postage outside the UK, this is still NOT good value for money. It does look good when it is fresh out of the packet but this soon changes with use.

Sizing, I measured up as XXL but ordered XL and this was still not a perfect fit so I got an adjustable band to put around the ear straps to secure it in place while moving. Without this band, there is no way that this would sit on my face without sliding downwards, with the band, it sat perfectly but the ear straps are a problem. The ear straps are comfortable but flimsy, very flimsy and I do not know how long they will last.

Breathing through the mask is easy and you can talk with ease and as my need for oxygen increased I was able to breath heavy but it was not perfect - I guess that no mask is and I have five different masks from a decent N95 downwards.

I wear glasses and neither my normal or reading glasses, nor my cycle glasses were able to cope without steaming up. I even tried anti-mist spray on my specs and they still could not cope once I got hot.

The material of the mask is much better than a simple cloth mask and better than a standard medical mask - and UA make zero claims about it being a mask designed to deal with COVID-19 BUT as an exercise mask, sorry UA but this is a massive fail.

I have a resting heart rate of around 50bpm and an aerobic heart rate of around 160bpm and I found that this mask could not handle much more than a 100bpm from me before I started to feel warm under the mask and although it wicks away moisture, my face still felt damp and uncomfortable after about 30mins of any exercise.

I wanted to sing UA praises and I have ignored most of the other reviews in my writing of this review but the bottom line is, UA need to go back to the drawing board and rethink this one as it is massively overpriced and I would say that £12-£15 would be a better price point for this and although I appreciate that you have R&D costs to recover, I could not recommend this mask to anyone unless they wish to use it while sitting down watching tv in a crowded room.

I started off this review and trial with an open mind but feel that I would be lying to a future buyer of this mask if I did not give an honest opinion of my own personal experience with a product that I purchased and was not given to test review.

I hope this review (if printed) is helpful to all that read it.

I bought 2 of these mask in a M/L and L/XL. My face measure is 6 and 3/4" from the bridge of my nose to the middle of my ear. Under Armour's website recommended I would fit the L/XL size. The L/XL fits a bit loose but it's wearable. The M/L was way too small. Go with Under Armour's sizing recommendations. Hope this helps someone with sizing

I work for a roofing restoration company.. I canvass neighbors for 5-7 hours a day. I wear this mask for my full day and I don’t have to hassle with it at all. Its great for outdoor work and so comfortable.

Just a thought here as you are concerned about the vents, I use a bandana over my vented mask, that way anything I breath out is slowed down by the bandana, but the vents still allow for easy breathing.

I got a pair at an UA outlet store. They had a deal going on, BOGO free, so I couldn’t resist. Best mask that I’ve used so far.

Only thing I think could be better is the sizing, in the store they have you measure yourself. I got a xl-xxl should've been l-xl but love the mask anyways.

Hey -- the RZ mask does now sell caps to prevent the air escaping through the valve. I use those out at the stores, etc and the regular RZ masks with the valve in my shop.

Bought one directly from the Under Armour outlet here in Las Vegas. They will help you measure your face if your aren't sure what size to buy. Mask is pretty comfortable.

I’m a licensed massage therapist & have yet to find a mask that doesn’t make me dizzy while working. Desperately need to work so I keep searching for a mask I can breathe in. I can’t believe how much $ I have spent (& wasted) on masks. Not allowed to use mask w vents/valves as per CDC. Need to follow state laws so that my liability insurance covers me. Today, we saw a guy jogging with it. Usually folks have their mask down when exercising so I was impressed that he kept his on. So now checking YouTube reviews. Thx for sharing! I’m hoping this will work for me.

I’m loving this mask. It’s comfortable, durable and so far I have been able to wear it for long periods of time with no irritation. I have 4 of them because I need them for work each day. Easy to wash and I have had 2 of them for over a month.

They should offer a nape of the neck attachment in addition to behind the ears option. I've converted my masks to a nape of the neck mounting with paracord.

I really wanted to like this mask. Maybe it’s because of the price. Unfortunately, it’s not too effective at keeping you cool. I sweat so much more in this than my other masks with a carbon filter. Also, it needs adjustable ear straps. The large size fit my ears fine, but was loose around the face. My wife’s medium size fit my face, but pulled my ears out like Dumbo. I’ll stick with my regular masks. Back to the drawing board, UnderArmour.
