President Xi inspects poverty alleviation achievements in SW China

Chinese President Xi Jinping inspected the rural area in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality over poverty alleviation on April 15. President Xi also visited a primary school and a village in Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County. He talked with local farmers to get firsthand information about what progress has been made in poverty reduction. He also asked them about their living conditions in terms of food, clothing, compulsory education, basic healthcare and housing.

Such heat warming scene!!! I haven't seen any president who would even bother to a 1/100 of the things he does for his people. His detail evaluation of the people's living environment shows his genuine interests and care for them. So touching!!!!

I am a Chinese Canadian for over 20 years. I used to send money back home to my mom, but not in the last five years. She has not needed my money anymore. Chinese government has given her money that is enough for her pocket money because she lives with my brother. Whenever she is sick that needs to go to hospital, the medical cost covers 90 percent. I am over 40 years old. I have seen Chinese people's life has improved dramatically. I remember being so poor to the point that my mom didn't have money to buy basic needs such as cooking oil. My father was sick that my mom had to sell all the rice for his medical expense. Then, my family didn't have rice to eat and then had to eat sweat potato flour until new rice was being harvested. Chinese government works for Chinese people and that makes me proud of being Chinese.

President Xi seems humble, sincere and genuinely care for the people, and the people seem genuinely happy to see and greet him. They don't look forced or acting but really genuinely wanted to meet him. So great to see. Note the lack of large security services. Wow. That speaks volumes about the safety in China.

Just look at the way he hold the hands of those elders, and watch how happy those villagers to see him around. It can not be fake. Look at those exited faces and eagerness to touch him. He didn't hold back. To travel through car, train and airplane and have to climb that high of the mountain just to visit them is truly touching. Did we ever see any world leader approach their ordinary people this way ? No. No wonder the Chinese people love their leader very much .

Despite how world judge Chinese government system was, but seems like its work for chinese people. Taking care 1, 4 billion people is not a joke, its super challenging but president Xi did it. Amazing they have some doctors assigned to the poor village and they really come to help the poor.. amazing work by great leader.
