New evidence against Trump in election interference case

A newly unsealed filing from Special Counsel Jack Smith gives the clearest view yet of his 2020 election interference case against former President Donald Trump. Smith asserts Trump acted as a private candidate, not as President. Former Senior Investigative Counsel for the House January 6th Committee Temidayo Aganga-Williams and criminal defense attorney Danny Cevallos join José Díaz-Balart to weigh in.

Even though I am not a fan of Pence, I do have to give him some serious credit given how hard Trump was pressuring him, not to mention the blatant threat he made (and caried out) on unleashing his MAGIDIOTS on him. Even in the face of those threats, Pence stood his ground where so many others were willing to break the law for Trump. Props to Pence...he indeed has balls.

Let me say it again more clearly for those that don't want to understand... When the former president was "talking" to Mike Pence about the certification he was talking to the president of the senate (mike pence's job in the legislative organ of our government and completely divorced from the executive branch) and as president of the senate these "conversations" are not executive privilege or immune .

The President of the United States should be beyond reproach - not indicted and convicted. Trump could not even get a job as a greeter at Walmart. The fact that he is on our presidential ballot and not in a prison cell is inexcusable.

Has anyone else noted that most of the original posts that are authored in this comment section are by people who can actually see what is going on; and that the ones who are in the trump cult only respond to these comments with deflection or talking points because they don’t have an original thought? All they want to do is fight, disrupt and dispute legitimate points made by smart, free-thinking people. We shouldn’t feel like we have to fight back or respond to their nonsensical lunacy.

I suggest that we continue to make our points known while resisting the urge to even acknowledge their ignorance and the misinformation that they hear in their echo chambers. We are better than this. We are smarter than them. If we all agreed to ignore their infantile and bigoted responses, they won’t receive the attention that they want; the validation that they seek, and they will get bored and stop. Their voices need not be heard unless they are attempting to have a good faith discussion, which is quite rare.

Let’s focus on the real goal; the most important goal. Let’s fight for our collective freedom, for equality for all, and for democracy!
