Just gonna say: Diavolo's ego is the only reason he didn't spam waiting for situations like with Narancia to use King Crimson. He could've obliterated everything he ever encountered like that. Ironically, the fact he doesn't use his best trick is a good parallel to Giorno, who doesn't ever seem to remember that he can just abuse the fact his animals reflect damage, and therefore ends up fighting in an unnecessarily direct manner against, say, King Crimson. During the walk up to check who Diavolo was sitting in, he could've turned the ground below him into a flurry of butterflies or something, making a smokescreen no one would be able to hit him through. Diavolo would've lacked any way to get a hit in.
