A draw my life would be epic. It would also help break through the fourth wall and connect with us more

This is all awesome :) I'll have to make a start on YouTube too by the looks of it and I love learning from people who've already succeeded. And yeah Derek, your stuff is excellent now. Really excellent.

I liked the supercooled water video. My kids were really excited when they saw the water freeze (maybe that's the lead with awesome you were talking about). It lead me to go buy some bottled FIJI water that night so my kids could have a "Science Sunday" with their Grandma the next day.

I feel the exact same way with art making. I've got good taste, but am creating works that don't fulfill my expectations. Good thing is, I use that to my advantage and try to create better works.

Iv noticed that a lot not just with people making videos and such but in peoples lives. They enjoy a tv show or something when they are younger then when they get older and more mature they think "what was I thinking?" Sometimes however, there is that nostalgia that causes people to keep enjoying something even though it might not be as good as they thought it was. Its quite strange and at the same time interesting.

I think it goes this way: The art progresses a little slower than criticism or the ability to criticize. That may be simply because it's easier to catch flaws than to amend them.

The effect it has on us is that while you're on a path of improvement in some area, at some point you get frustrated with the pace your ability is evolving because you begin to notice the flaws with more expertise than you have to amend them.

Later on, I think, if you keep trying, you'll eventually get in balance.
