Thanks to MOZA Racing for sponsoring today's video!

This was not one of my best races and I'll probably get obliterated in the comments. But we all make mistakes, so I figured I'd share this disaster of a race in the hope we can all learn from my mistake!

You could tell from the first lap these guys where super fast. To be fair you held your own, you could see you were racing to your limits. Important to show the bad with the good. Great video

I seldom agree with how people evaluate a situation post incident. They seem to only look at it from their own point of view and don't consider any other. However, I pretty much agree with all of your points. You're really good at considering other points of view. The only part we differ a bit on is that last corner. From his view, you can barely tell that you hit him. Even if your bump gave him a bit of extra speed, to me it looks like he had enough time to adjust for that. I think he might have lost concentration or was frustrated because he couldn't get around you and then just ran wide on his own. Obviously, just a guess.

Just another thought, fwiw... He was faster than you because he had the draft. I would guess if he got in front of you, though, he'd be holding you up for the same reason. I find it odd that if people think they're faster than you, they think you owe them the position. It's racing for a reason, otherwise, we'd all just do a hotlap to determine a winner.

This is a common “mistake” in racing when you close to your opponent. I’ve done this many times as well thinking your opponent will brake much later, and also the other way around. It just happens.

Not reckless driving at all. Just racing👍

Don't worry about it Will, from his perspective it would seem that he is faster cause he is taking advantage of the slip stream which gives the illusion of more pace. And your tap never took him out. He made the mistake on his own. The tap was no different to what he did to you a few laps before. But everyone needs a scapegoat.

You were just reading the situation and assumed his line was faster. Racing incident. Awesome to try and unravel it and learn from it.

What I enjoy most about this channel, is that you can go from a spectacular rig like this, and still remain objective while reviewing low-budget gear!

(Related to that, is a GT7 VR review in the works? I seem to remember a poll where I think it got the most votes)

I think he thought you were on his outside so he slowed down significantly to stay super tight but since you were actually going to follow him you weren't expecting that slowdown. Def on you but not intentional at all, weird incident for sure. No way he was that much faster than you tho. You were super consistent he has 0 argument on that front. He would've blown past you if he was that fast lol

I run in a kart racing league in winter and there's one guy who said to me "at a certain point, you have to know when you've been passed." I had to explain to him that I know when I've been passed when someone is in front of me instead of behind me. If you're alongside, you're getting room and if you pass me, you've passed me, but making a pass stick is part of racing. Sergio might be related to him. He had a run on you several times at Andretti, and kept having to back out or just didn't have the speed to get around you. It's clear from the video that others with more pace were getting by cleanly and I think he just felt entitled to the same.

It's a shame about the wreck, but I get the feeling he still would have had words for you if you hadn't come together there, too.

I think the car that got slowed and fell between you and Sergio really shuts down his argument. That guy had pace and guess what he passed right by. If Sergio had the pace to pass he would have. I think his perception of you defending too aggressively was more of a reflection of his inability to "read the race" and anticipate the race line to find an opportunity to pass. He might have been slightly faster but just couldn't put a line together to pass. That's on him. Great video with honest reflection!! Awesome job!

Most people only show there best especially on YouTube. What we are in absolute AWE of is the setup and how it is tune to perfection!

Home track, a-lot of little quirks to get the extra tenths, iRacing needs to update to the modern track specs as it would be so much more fun. Great video as always Will!

We live only an hour away from Mosport and race CSBK every summer. I can’t get enough of this track!

I absolutely love the analysis of this. You should do reviews of your driving at the end of videos.

I ended up running into you for a few of the f3 races one night. It was fun meeting you on the track!

So because Sergio couldn't get past you, you should automatically let him past 😂
If Sergio was a second quicker per lap he wouldn't have been behind you for so long.

Great Race, and in my opinion you are not slower than the other racer. And in the contact, yes it was a contact in my idea his car was spinning a little bit to compensate the right corner when he goes to the left, you have more grip in this Right Left transition so the contact is inevitable. But the crash he get after is not your fault, he goes to the grass and lost the balance. So in My opinion is an racing incident that sometime happens.
A good racing for both and good entertainment, and that's the point, you don't end the race he end the race, all must be happy because was all you have to give to the race. Thanks all drivers, Thanks Will for another great video. Cheers 🙇‍♂

This track is tricky! I did my first race here in the F3s last night, and after starting from the pits ended up P12/30 while only passing 1 person who hadn't wrecked. Honestly you did really well here. Starting P5 with this SoF isn't easy.

I actually think this is pretty much what happened between us at Intelagos last week. The intent to race safely was there but it's so easy to be caught out with the F3's when on the limit. Closing speeds and reaction margins are almost non existent at that distance.
