37mm memovox next to a 37mm Calatrava. Has all the heritage and attention to detail at about 25% the price. Plus it has a alarm feature. One of the smartest picks on the market in my opinion.

Arch did you hear that this guy was shopping at a goodwill store and found and bought for $5.99 a 1959 jaeger lecoutlre deep sea alarm; one of 900 made. This guy found a collector through Hodinkee and the guy offered him $35, 000 and a $4, 000 omega speed master

Vintage Memovoxs were made for a long time and are dirt cheap on EBay. 1-2K all day long.

To me it's a no brianer.  Master Memevox is >> than a simple Master Control.
A simple SS MC 3 hander with date is 7.5k USD MSRP.  Memevox which basically has the same basic asthetics as a MC is only slightly more at 11k.  We are talking 3.5k more MSRP for a complication, there is very few high-end manufactuers that wont double and triple the price for a simple complication.
The difference is even smaller after AD discount.  Most AD's will give you more off on a complication than a simple 3 hander.  I think it's a good pick up.  Would have gone for the black MM international limited edition but the white one is good.
