little tip for your racks, if your compressor doesn't automatically sidechain to the track and you have to do it manually group the compressor into a rack inside the reverb rack and choose the compressor as the sidechain inside its rack and it'll automatically sidechain to the track you put it on instead of having to do it manually

Proppa love your tutorials been making piano house for a bit and learnt loads from you and diffrent plugins you use most i use but a few I dont super intresting. Watched most iof your vids keep them going some of the best Ive seen over the last 10 years

i binged through a couple of your videos including this stream since yesterday, and you put a finger on 80% of what's been wrong with my production/mixing approach for years (mainly not referencing). the master chain from hell in the "how to NOT master your music" video gave me a good laugh. nice to see, that simplicity provides for better results. and makes sense to me now, how my starting mixes seemed to always sound better in hindsight compared to later versions, often butchered with compressors and limiters to get the mix loud and pumping. started a new session yesterday, following your tips, with some great results. you have a gift for teaching (and production), the videos are super interesting, fun to watch, and the tempo is perfect to follow. thx, man 🙌🏻 i sent you a ☕.

2:03:29 adjust any knob of local vsts on ableton, and then right click to the top bar of vst, and then safe as default. Now every time you double click it to use, it will come with last saved configuration settings. So adjust sampler volume to lets say 0 db, and then save as default by right click, and you will get it with 0 db applied automatically everytime

2:03:36 re -12 : you can set it how you want, the right click and choose 'save as default preset', it might also be worth opening a sampler first, choosing highest sound quality>convert to simpler>save as default (because the simpler is usually defaulted to econ quality i think).

So in your master level you were at least at +6 db above 0 db u til 2:24:29. And then you incresed it to the 0 and yes clipping happened in your master level meter. Also reference was sitting at 0 db all the time. And you dont use limiter. So when you render it down to publish, will you decrease master volume around -6 db again right before you render ? And that is it? I dont get it... Would you explain how you prepare your levels right before render and publish tracks please?
