2024 will be the year user engagement becomes the main ranking factor. Its an easier and faster (=cheaper) metric for Google to measure to determine the quality of a website.

I really hope good quality blogs do not die. The ones with years of rich content and back links, solid audiences, and established authority. It’s expected that lesser sites will go down, but I hope proper blogging stands the test of time. Mind sharing which podcast that was with Jacky Chou? I’d really like to listen to it also. I keep hearing different opinions about SEO and blogs, some say its the end of blogging, others say there are a lot of opportunities but things just get more difficult. I still keep faith and diversify my marketing efforts. There are other ways to reach people than via Google.
