Venus, the Goddess of beauty and love: a charming deity that loved stirring up trouble among humans, that is of course, according to Greek-Roman mythology.

And yet, thousands of years after the ancients conceptualized the idea of this mischievous Goddess and the very civilizations that worshipped her have fallen, here we are: one look at the sky, and we see it – a magnificent planet that, just like its divine counterpart, is guaranteed to make you fall in love.

Welcome to Factnomenal and today we will take you on an otherworldly journey into the meanders of Venus.

May sound not so astounding, but my first thought when I first saw the Venus pictures was how fuxking awesome it was seeing rocks, that look jus like the ones on earth, on another planet..

I really hope DAVINCI finds out that Earth's evil twin had life at some point

Earth is the peppy cheerleader twin and Venus is the angsty edgy twin that smokes cigarettes

The AIS of the future may be able to handle Venus

Venus' rotation suggests it was involved in a heck of a collision at some point, I would assume a glancing blow, and sent reeling in the opposite direction. Earth's major collision which won us the Moon seems to have sent us spinning in the 'correct' direction. Venus, not so lucky. It suggests either a huge impact, or it was captured by the Sun very early in formation of the system, but this seems to me to be far less likely.

I like to think Venus had either some form of life going on before this event, or was well on the way to getting it, but this event put the brakes on it. Just goes to show all the lucky breaks a world needs to get to a point where things which are alive can begin to to do their thing.

I'd like to know why at time stamp 9:45 where it is talking about Venera 9&10 that the image on the left side says "Venera-14".

🌍 What's the best thing about living on Earth and not Venus?

Venus is like a mermaid. Beautiful to look at from afar, but up close it'll kill you with no remorse.

Would the mountain tops be cooler than the valleys and plains? Maybe an acid resistant baloon could float equipment in resonable atmosphere pressures and temperatures.

We've already shot probes into the Venusian atmosphere. The year was 1978, and the mission was Pioneer Venus.

A day... is longer than a year? Boy, that mandatory O.T. has got to be a freaking nightmare.

Imagine all those mountains with no one to climb and concur, just there for the sake other than human's

If Venus reflects 70% of the suns heat and light, why is it green housed? Is it producing its own heat? Perhaps it is hotter and younger than earth or has had a collision more recently that left it molten and hot? Early earth model?

Living on venus would be like a °600 sulphuric acid vapor sauna ! maybe build floating cities above venus's clouds !

Surely we can make a rover that can survive there. With a dense atmosphere, perhaps a blimp of some sort that can cover tons of ground.

It is so hot
And the air pressure will crush us.
The atmosphere is sulphuric acid
We need to get back to Venus.🎶🎶🎶
