This is technically how my swim is modeled, I come a little over the top (a lot) so lose out on true distance, but shoot it is so much better for accuracy bc you have much less variability in your back/downswing to mess u up if you can maintain good speed

No reason to go all the way back. Half the down swing is just lag anyway, all the speed comes in at the end. That’s why so many people can’t hit far. They try and generate the speed from the top of their backswing, so they are losing speed when the hit the ball, rather than accelerating into the ball
