VCE A+ Studio Art Unit 3 Folio Tour

Social issues are a crucial subject for artistic exploration. As an artist, I wanted to acknowledge the subtle but significant issues within society and encourage people to take responsibility and action towards improving our community. I was passionate about raising awareness of social inequality, pollution, and homelessness and hoped to create a powerful message through my artwork. To convey my message, I chose photography as my primary art form. However, I also wanted to explore other art forms such as painting and drawing to create the background of my photograph. I aimed to explore the contrast between people's unrealistic imagination and reality, reflecting on how these issues affect individuals' mental and physical health. For the final artwork, I intended to print the photographs as canvas prints, chromogenic prints, or metallic prints to further enhance the visual impact.

The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on my creative process. I struggled to take photographs during the lockdown, and I had to adapt my approach to keep my project on track. Despite the challenges, I persevered and experimented with new techniques, which led to unique and meaningful artwork. Overall, I am satisfied with the outcomes of my work and hope that my art can inspire viewers to take action and create positive change in our society.
