If you follow this channel you know I enjoy monitoring the air band on VHF, so you can imagine my delight when I made a QSO on UHF with an aeronautical mobile station, in this case a news chopper pilot who's also a ham.

Hats off to KA2DUT for getting on the air on 446 mhz FM and allowing ground stations to get in on the fun!

All kidding aside this shows you never know who's on the air so get on the air and call CQ or answer a CQ call!
