Between the 2 I'm guessing most people will prefer the one they grew up with. We were a Ragu family. As an adult I've tried multiple brands and appreciate the differences but I always go back to what mom used. It's as much about nostalgia as is about flavor. Now I'll admit I use the chunky version now and it didn't exist when I was a kid, but it still has the same flavor profile. My sister prefers sweeter sauces like Prego.

Thanks for the review! When I was younger Prego did not exist. So Ragu was a go to. Today I probably like Prego a bit better but will generally buy whatever is on sale.

The first time I ever heard “it’s in there” was in 1981 when I was watching a Prego ad as a 6 year old. The second time I heard it was when I was getting an education from a grandmother when I was 16 in 1991.

When my Mom gave me her spaghetti recipe, she included "Ragu" in her recipe. Amazon was low on Ragu and I could only get 2 jars. I was gonna add 2 Prego's to finish it off, but after this review... NOPE - I'll either stop at the store and get 2 more Ragu's, or wait till next week and order 2 more! 😁 Damn, I almost ruined my dish with that watery bullshyt!! lol.. Thank you Sir! ✌😉

Growing up me and my sister hated Ragu and told mom all the time please get prego and that only happened if we were at the store with her. She was a cruel woman.
