Reading or listening to the Bible. The Word will always give you rest in the Lord.

I sleep terribly too 😢 I wake up at 3am and my mind is racing. All I can do it put some head phones in and listen to a YouTube video/Netflix/ podcast and hope I fall back asleep

Chamomile tea before bed and working hard to replace stressful thoughts with pleasant thoughts before bed. We all have worries yet it helps to decide on happy thoughts and images so your dreams are not disturbed. Lifestyle changes like reducing caffeine, alcohol and tobacco and getting a good walk every day really prove helpful for me. Best of luck to you.

Because its been so cold recently I've been going to bed with a hot water bottle and a weighted blanket. Being cosy definitely helps me to sleep. Unfortunately I'm woken up multiple times during the night to go to the bathroom but the bed is nice and toasty when I go back in! 😊

Some people just don’t need as much sleep as others I think it’s more important to not get frustrated over lack of sleep or get anxious both leading to stressful inflammation. If you wake up in middle of the night it’s ok read a book. Find a late night phone friend you can express yourself too. For giggles make sure your Vit D and magnesium is solid… and get a sleepy tea! Sleeping problems/patterns is what broke up my relationship and made me give up my work.

Breath exercises for polyvagal relief before sleep makes me comfortable while sleeping. There are some apps for those kind of exercises.

I sleep as soon as my back hits the bed, but sometimes when I am at a new place or I have something going on in my mind I feel hard to sleep right away. For that, I make myself comfortable i.e. locking up the doors, windows.
I then put on a movie that either makes me laugh out loud or makes me feel extremely comfortable (eg - Hangover part 1, 2, 3 or Home Alone or Harry Potter or Narnia)after watching the movie I sleep like a baby. Sorry for the long explanation, hope this helps 💙

If you look up linen (the fabric) you will find that it helps people sleep. A deep sleep. It has a high (6, 000 MHz) which is thousands more than cotton or other fabrics. Whether it is this or another aspect of linen, I don't know, but I bought pillowcases and sheets and since the first night I had two pillowcases on my pillows, I sleep like someone knocked me out. I dream like crazy, too, very vivid dreams. For the price of a couple of pillowcases, I would strongly recommend you purchase them and try them. They are a bit pricey, but totally worth it. I have used melatonin, which is OK, and I've used calcium. Calcium is better than melatonin. Take it about a half hour to an hour before bed. One tab or two, depending on what you need. Another remedy is a homeopathic preparation from Bach Remedies, called Oak. A few drops under the tongue and you find peace. There are many others in the "set" but I found Oak to be very effective over a few others I tried. There is a chart online for each use, and is based on your personality and emotions.

Hi Seb,
I can sympathize with your lack of sleep. Had a bad bout of the flu which closed up my throat and required an ER visit. Now I’m on prednisone and have forgotten what it’s like to sleep. Just have to wait it out I guess, for the drug to leave my system. This too will pass.

Sleep as early as you can, wake up as early as you can, the moment you feel drowsy go to bed, you'll need to be at home when that happens so be there as early in the night as you can, and wake up before sunrise, it'll give you a chance to prepare for your day so you never have to wake up with hurry again, it's not aa healthy way to wake up! i'm not assuming you do but just for anyone reading the comments THIS ONE IS IMPORTANT: keep away p**n, it only adds to you're stress it's ruining your in more ways that you think, you'll find out once you quit what you were capable of doing, you're looking to keep a calmer mind and psychological state THATS gonna help you sleep like a baby, trust me. don't thank me, thank yourself for reaching out for help, it's a step forward, keep on goin! <3

No, I don't sleep well either. I have to take medicine to help me stay asleep. My issue is not falling asleep, it is staying asleep.

Last night I didn't sleep well, and when I did sleep I dreamt that I was stumbling around crying because I was in pain. Sometimes I take 5-HTP if I have been going through a bad spell, and I think it helps. I don't actually have a diagnosis of any kind, so I don't know if it would be useful to those with MS.
