It has been interesting to watch geologists in the state of Washington to reinterpret the Missoula flood as a series of floods so they can keep their long ages. Clearly, there was only one flood.

If you study the geology in the Gulf Of Mexico, of which I have had the opportunity to see firsthand, having worked very many drilling operations, and recorded the lithology, you would
find that there is a massive alluvial bed of shell fragments, a couple 100 feet thick at about 1/4-1/2 mile beneath the sea bottom reaching out about 100 miles into the Gulf. This would
indicate a massive outflow from the Mississippi River area into the Gulf during the global flood.

This is exactly the point the first broke my faith in Darwin. I remember i was reading a textbook on dinosaurs and it was discussing a group of hadrosaurs that were buried in a regional flood. Then i realised, that actually a flood is the ONLY way to make fossils. Then i noticed that all the fossils seemed to bear evidence or even textbook acknowledged stories of being buried in a flood. I realized that they all were buried in "seperate floods" but all in a uniform layer sorted by date? Knowing what i knew of geology, and what i had observed of regional flooding as a child, i knew that sediments deposited by flooding organised themselves into layers based on density. From their it wasnt much of a strech to think that it would be possible for a large flood to organise organisms based on the densities of their bodies. That would leave oceanic creatures at the bottom, reptiles above that, and finally mamals and birds. Exactly as observed. Further it explained why we sometimes see fossils straddle the layers, or even appear wholesale in the wrong layer.

Finally everything made sense and I let go of Darwin. I stopped worrying about which one was true because i knew. 😎

I grew up in the mountains of Western Colorado, I can remember my dad dragging home rocks with sea shells from above 8 to 9, 000 ft elevation. He had also found shark's teeth. There is a lot of evidence out there.
