0:59 to 1:09 is by far my favorite part. Especially when he screams " You won't do the same." Something about how he says same draws me to it.

I don't think either one did this better than the other, it just depends on what kinda music style you like more. I personally like this music style more, so I ended up liking this version more. But I cant deny that some of the emotion Bruno had in his original song was gone.
