So I’m kinda wondering 🤔 I just set up a 10 wt reel and put on 350 yards of Dacron for backing, how does the backing hold up over time ? If it stays moist will it get moldy? And start to break down ? Or lose its strength? I could see stripping out my fly line and wiping it down, and can the fly line be say dressed with something like a silicone dressing to protect it and make it slide thru the guides ? So many questions ! So many fish to catch ! 😃

Why rain every it off in the water that you used to soak the salt off? How about raising off with clean water?
