GRWM Using the 2000s Classic Dream Matte Mousse Foundation

Get ready with me as I do my make up using every 2000s teen's favorite foundation: Dream Matte Mousse. It's back in stores and I actually think it looks pretty good!

See this foundation looks SO great, applied with a delicate hand and updated make up techniques ! Jenna could you do a make up video where you use 2000s make up but doing a serious make up tutorial with updated make up techniques application, and tools/brushes ? some of us just love the old-school make up that you can still find but cringe at how we used to slap Dash it on our faces back in the day without the techniques that look so beautiful today that would be a cool video!!! I loved this foundation in high school.
The formula is so light that it barely felt like I had anything on my face but the shade range is atrocious.

I rocked this in ivory for a good decade or longer. Never understood why people started to crap on it until I realized that they used soo much product. So basically it got a bad rap bc everyone sucked at makeup 😂

I was still using it in 2013! (Not the same jar as high school, thank god). I still like it, tbh. I think the way you have applied is key: go LIGHT and use the right colour!

lol.. i love that you use an absolute *WHISPER* of this product. My triangle sponge was LOADED and reporting for duty back in the day when I used this mousse! (and fingers for sure when the triangle was AWOL)

Looks good in my opinion. I used to wear the shades caramel mixed with cappuccino because they didn't have one that matched me. I might try and hunt some down. I still remember the texture so well. If your face was super dry, the mousse would adhere to scaly patches. Really bad also if you had a breakout that wasn't healed yet. The foundation would cling to bad spots!

Honestly I have just gone back from Estee Lauder double wear (€ 60) to Essence mousse foundation (€ 3, 99). It is not that bad. It covers so well, makes me look super youthful.

It does look good! I didn't know it was in stores again. I usually do a BB cream because I don't like heavy foundation so I think I might have to give this one a shot again.

Yeah definitely the key to that foundation looking decent is to apply it over very hydrated skin and in small amounts with even a damp sponge. Coming from a professional makeup artist that’s how I’d use it! ❤ gorg Jenna xo
