Body dysmorphia is sooo over exaggerated. Its like people saying they’re depressed when in reality they’re just a little bit sad. Theres a difference between hating your body and striving to get better

I’m not insecure but I struggle with health issues. I’m in a lot of pain but my brother is in a wheelchair with MS. I’ve never had such a strong emotional response to a Coach Greg video. Staying more real than last time. Thank you for saying the things that need to be said and not sugarcoating and babying everyone.

This video speaks volumes. I honestly believe I suffer with body dismorphia severely. I've spent 14 years of my life been so hyper focused and critical of my appearance that I've lost all sense of the rest of my life. Every mirror I pass or every car window I pass I can't help but look at my body. I've used gear for a good 10 years of those 14 years and no matter how much I improve my physique I always end up with the same mentality. Constantly critiquing what I believe is lacking bodyparts which results in less rest days. I blame myself for the most part for indulging in so many social media channels that covers the professional bodybuilders. Whenever I go on an odd night out I get comments all the time about how big I am but I genuinely don't see it.. sometimes I wish I never traveled down this path and tried out the gym. I cant help but think life would be easier to live and I would have more time to concentrate on family and my career. Instead I'm hyperfocused on nothing but my body. Panic when I miss meals, anger when my workout doesn't go smooth. My progress is very slow at this point even with the use of PEDs and the only way to gain faster would be to up the doses even higher... but when will this end? Probably when my health goes to shit and I regret going down this path which has led me to this overwhelming mindset.. years off my life to get bigger yet to feel the exact same way... I am aware it sounds stupid yet I cannot seem to shake off this mentality of the need to get bigger.

I can't be the only one that feels this way surely.

Great video greg

I started lifting weights a bit over a year ago, I'm 48. I only workout at home. I never see other bigger guys. When I look at my progress I'm always super happy with the changes. I compare myself to myself yesterday. Never negative

I'm 42, I was considering taking PEDs. Instead I decided to do the 150+ mins of cardio and keep lifting. I cleaned up my diet, but still have my cheats from time to time. Maingaining is what I'm living by and I like what I've accomplished.

Even at 42, I look better than most people, even those half my age. I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing, and be grateful for it.
