Walking you through the unboxing process and giving my thoughts on why I went with this particular model from OMTech.

This laser has a 24"x35" cutting bed with a 4 way pass through, 80watts of badass engraving and cutting power, and is sure to be able to handle all the fun projects I have in store for it.

Got me a dual head omtech 24x40" 80w machine. I couldn't be happier. Setup was a learning curve but nothing out of this world. I was up and running in 3 hrs already producing products for my clients.

Hi Whitney, what is the exactly height when unscrew the 4 screws at bottom from body from laser only? With screws he should have 94cm according to your description on your website. Thanks for help me!!!! Best regards, Armin

Very informative…. Hoping you can give me a bit of advice…. I currently use a Glowforge which is super easy to use…. The reason I want to upgrade is 1… it skips spots cutting 1/4” which ruins material and 2… tech support is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with.

Very much considering the 80w (not sure auto focus or not)

My biggest concern is having to use light burn…. With Glowforge, you tell the program what the material is and how thick, position the project on the spot through the camera and hit print.

You kind of answered the question at the end of your video…. How hard was it to get going with light burn

Thanks. Frank

What is your opinion after having it for a year?

Does it really go through half inch acrylic?

If the laser lives in the garage where temperatures can be extreme, do you recommend the chiller vs the bucket? I live in Texas and temps can be very hot/cold during some months. I'm concerned if I keep mine in the garage I could damage something. Any insight would be helpful!

On your milliamp display screen, on the front left, is your knob turned to "Max"?

Love your information. I am looking for a laser that is 24x35 with the pass through to cut a variety of materials- wood, but mostly acrylic to make sewing templates and quilting cotton with a fusible ironed to the back side. This would be for sewing stores to sell appliqué kits to their customers. I haven’t had a lot of luck finding videos of makers cutting this media, but I know its done. Have you tried this?

Great video! I ordered the 80W with the smaller bed just last week because I was a little worried about space. Do you find that the larger one gives you enough to move around where it is set up?

Please do more videos. There are not many women that have this cutter. I just got mine.

Hi, great video I have a question: I’ve ordered this same model and was wondering what the exterior dimensions are for it (the description shows: Machine Dimensions:
56.7×42×37.8 in. (144×107×96 cm), but photo shows 76.4x60.6x37.4 in.)?

Thanks

Great video. Ordered mine today. I had to buy a used one because I'm a boat owner; aka poor.
