Free! VST Synths!

I've recommended the LANDR post about free VST effects and synths a lot, and I wanted to run through them to see what was actually worth keeping. This is a series of videos trying out the effects and synths that I could download and that work with my host (Ableton 10 64 bit).

This was written in 2016, so there are probably lots of new stuff out there. Leave a comment below if there's a free VST effect or synthesizer you love.

Synth 1 Is lovely. For those who cannot get past the interface barrier, may I suggest looking for skins for it. KVR would be a good place to start.

Awesome vid! Another great VST that I personally use is arminator. It’s a Yamaha cs80 emulator and works surprisingly well.

This really helps me out a lot since I am always looking for free (or cheap) VSTs to work with! Normally I prefer analog gear but it is so expensive :/

Another great free VST Synth (in my opinion) is the PG-8X, emulating a JX-8P

JuceOPL is based on Yamaha 2 operator FM sound chips (OPL series, hence the name) that were found in old school PC soundcards. And yeah, those things sounded sweet. ✌️😁
