I wanted a Vanford 500 so bad, but they remove some of the bearings and other tech to fit the 500 size frame. Ended up with a new Stradic FM 1000 size, it has been great.

i just found out that a size 1000 daiwa lt holds less line than a shimano 500, no wonder why they weigh as much as the 500 shimanos, but i bought it now so, i'll use it before I buy another shimano :)
