Stay in Touch with Ashley!

GRAMMY, CMA and ACM award winner Ashley McBryde cut her teeth playing country songs in biker bars – and it shows. The Grand Ole Opry member’s 2018 major label debut Girl Going Nowhere (Warner Music Nashville) charmed The New York Times, NPR, Rolling Stone, Paste, The Washington Post and more, all en route to landing a GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album. McBryde closed out 2019 with ACM New Female Artist, CMT Breakout Artist, a New Artist of the Year win at the 53rd Annual CMA Awards and two nominations for the 2020 GRAMMYs for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance for “Girl Goin’ Nowhere.” Her follow-up Never Will was tagged by Rolling Stone as one of the most anticipated of the year alongside NPR, who also ranked her Top 10 RIAA Platinum-Certified single “One Night Standards” as one of the best songs of 2019. The album earned McBryde a 2021 GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album, making Never Will the only album nominated for Country Album of the Year by the ACMs, CMAs and the Recording Academy in the same award season. Her GRAMMY-winning duet with Carly Pearce, “Never Wanted To Be That Girl,” went all the way to No. 1 and earned McBryde and Pearce the ACM and CMA award for Musical Event of the Year. McBryde was also honored with the 2022 CMA International Artist Achievement Award for the most significant creative growth, development and promotion of the country music industry outside of the United States. Her collaborative project Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville featuring Brothers Osborne, Brandy Clark, Pillbox Patti, Caylee Hammack, Aaron Raitiere and Benjy Davis earned McBryde her third consecutive GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album, making her a six-time GRAMMY nominee. The project earned McBryde her second consecutive nomination for CMA Album of the Year, along with Music Video of the Year for “Light On In The Kitchen” from her latest critically acclaimed album, The Devil I Know.

I love this song because it reminds me of all those people who said 21 years ago that I'd never get sober or stay sober...
21 years this October without one drop.
Own my farm outright.
2 cars, 2 trailers, a Harley, a caravan.
And this morning I woke up sober & I remember what I did last night.
...Yep, not bad for a girl going nowhere hey 👊💪🇦🇺

I have no words for how much I feel when she sings those words

I know this was a while ago but I still tear up a bit knowing shes living her dream right in front of us! And I couldn't be happier for her.

The HAUNTING silence while she is singing compared to the roar of “I step into this circle with a Gibson in my hand”. The crowd was fully engaged! So cool!

Describe what it feels like to you to be standing in the circle. - Raelene

You’d think standing in that circle would feel Iike all the Opry members from all of history are piled on your shoulders... but but it doesn’t. It is an eerie feeling but in a really good way. Maybe eerie isn’t the right word...reverent might be better. It feels like all the Opry members of all the years gone by are standing behind you encouraging you and saying “ we’re glad you’re here with us.”

I've been away from country music for years. I'm another '90s country fan, so Ashley is fairly new to me as I bring myself back to "modern" country. This woman makes me cry... with happiness, with sadness, with love, with pain. WOW. What a voice! What a song!! I'll be listening to more of her, that's for sure!

Why Is the line 'as I step Into this circle with a Gibson In my hand' not in any other version of Girl goin nowhere. - Jacqueline

We put that’s line in the lyrics for one special night only. My debut. To keep that special, that’s the only time I’ll do it. Only when I’m playing my Gibson and I’m in the circle.

Her voice crack when she said “and y'all sure look good out there” literally brings me to tears every single time I watch it, and I've probably watched it over 200 times. Ashley McBryde KEEP MAKING MUSIC. Also I'm so glad One Night Standards is charting!!! Congratulations!

What advice would you give to a girl who’s dream is to make it to that stage? - Kelli

First of all, if I can stand on that stage... you can stand on that stage. That’s part of the beauty of country music. You can be from anywhere and be of any status. The only thing you have to do is put in all the work. And if you love performing and writing and singing that isn’t too much to ask for. Hell, it’s hard to shut us up, those of us that have the bug.
Just know this, The Opry wants you there. Country Music wants you there. Anyone whose dream is to help carry on the tradition of country music is welcome. The work isn’t easy and it can be really frustrating but it’s worth it to hear “We’re happy you’re here with us tonight“ on your debut.

She's not just an entertainer, this girl is a REAL musician. Great song, I'd love to see a modern day version of the Highway men with her Ashley Mcbride, Shooter Jennings, Jamey Johnson and Chris Stapleton!

This song just hit in the heart of me like hearing ur story behind it and never let a teacher to judge a student's dream to be someone as famous anywhere. So Ashley u made it so far in country music as yourself on music row in Nashville cuz u are strong, brave, tough, coolest person inside and out everyday so let ur spotlight shine on u forever.

No audience will ever care for an artist as much as this one does for you and everyone else who puts their heart out there in song. They *heard* you in your song and rose to their feet to say with all their heart "Job well done." You deserve to be standing in that circle.
