@phenochio HiAnnaD is right, they are 16in. The curve has fatter Schwalbe Big Apple tires that can be run at a bit lower pressure to absorb shock from the road. This gives the smaller wheels some good cushioning.

I fell in love with the Dahon Ikon D3. It's a 20 inch bike with 3 gears> and that's the point because the devil lays in the detail- the result is that it rolls great!!!

@Djlai78 I agree it's not the best setup possible. It would probably be better to use two short 12" bungees crossed over each other if you wanted to really secure your load. Still, better than nothing. Thanks for the comment.

I have the same as you/I bought it 6 months ago and I LOVE IT! I use in Vancouver, BC where I live and sometimes in Seattle. Its my car when I am away :)))

Im thinking of buying this bike, is it lightweight? Im about 5'0 and I want to know if its easy to carry around and if its good on bumps. I live in LA so theres a lot of potholes etc, not the best pavement biking area.

Can you connect a bionx mobility product to this bike . . . or more precisely, to which Dahon bikes can you connect one, aside from the Matrix (where you demonstrate that possibility).

why not longer? i always end wishing they made this tiny bikes longer in the front-rear dimension, so they coud be stabler and safer to ride, it's scary to get high speed downhill on this bikes, and that could be solved only addin say 15 cms long!
