The Yellowstone is no ordinary Volcano you see, it is a super volcano or a Cura volcano. Now, we all know the story of Pompeii, the city in ancient Rome that was covered completely by a volcanic eruption. Yes. Only imagine this time, a bigger volcanic eruption. Yes, this supervolcano has the potential to wipe out countries and even continents, making the eruption of Pompeii pale in comparison.

Masaya volcano, Nicaragua. It's an active super volcano. The area is a National Park. You can drive to the craters edge. A week ago it was closed to the public because the lava lake which became visible in 2016, disappeared overnight. Nicaragua is currently on high alert. Probabilities of eruptions, explosions and earthquakes.

According to Nick Zentner a geology professor at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington, USA. The Yellowstone Volcano is now in Wyoming because of plate tectonics. The last time it "blew up" it was in Idaho about 65000 years ago. It is not a Strata Volcano Like Mt St Helens and the rest of the Cascade Volcanos! Yellowstone is over a "HOT SPOT" like Killowea on the Big Island in Hawaii. You can see Nick on your computer if you want to check my comment.

Well the sun just did a polar magnetic flip, so the geological scientists should link with NASA . Not sure how one effects the other but its worth a look at. This might give them a better understanding on all geological conditions and help them understand a bit better?
