Hallelujah. I thank you Lord for taking theses scales off me and my Family. The truth shall set us free

I think it’s very spiritual. Many are not realizing they are deceived. I was one of those. As the Lord showed me all the problems with it & set me free. Pray for these people that are deceived.

I've been in a NAR influenced church, it teaches "Change the Campus, Change the World" which is NOT in the Bible, . The movement as they call it, also teaches "We mature as we minister" which is also not in the Bible (we mature as we remain attached to the Vine Christ Jesus- John 15:1-8). They target mostly the young people (with hype music, events, and yes, lights on stage and worship leaders that use volume, emotion, jumping up and down, and adapt to the culture of this world instead of real worship as the Bible teaches so yes, most often the worship turns out to be a performance.

They may not help bring Jesus back but they are for sure a sign of his coming. They are definitely part of the falling away from sound doctrine

Good information about the NAR cult .

The guy talking about music and lights at the end is very perceptive. As someone who has written, recorded and performed songs, I'm well aware of how effective music and presentation can be in bringing about a powerful emotional response. If I wanted to manipulate people into thinking they were experiencing something profound and spiritual, I would be using music and lights in exactly the way that appears typical of at least some NAR churches.

The new apostolic reformation is based upon new age star trek religion. Besides that they forget to preach the Gospel as our main purpose.

Sounds like, just like most cults, just a tiny bit of truth to draw in the people!

There's also a fourth river that comes out of Harrisburg Pa area with Randy Clark. What frightens me is that people flock to things like Lakeland "revival" and Brownsville

I came out of Pentecostal church who look mostly on baptism of Holy Ghost and End Time. You have to speak in tongues to go to the next level, get closer to God. Most Pentecostal or charismatic preachers are motivational speakers, live your best life today, get wealthy and healthy

Behold, the circular firing squad of Protestantism.

They also didn't mention the take over of the church by women pastors and women apostles.Leading and teaching men in the church. 1 timothy 2:12-15 is a prime example of this.

Thank you for your help walking through these land mines. Do
you know Dr. Joe Boot? I am wondering if you hear him espousing the same mindset toward “winning the world” as do the NAR, minus the Apostles and Prophets?

I don't agree with post-minimalism but what is McArthur going on about here? I don't care what someone who is in need beliefs at that point. I WILL feed and help them because he is my fellow man. Is he a sinner? Maybe, I don't know. But going only with a Bible to a natural disasters is ridiculous!! Like James said:
If one of you says to them, "Go in peace; keep warm and well fed, " but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? - James 2:16

There are many scriptures that contradict what these men are saying. The bible speaks of the terrible times in the end but nowhere does it say that ONLY bad things will happen until the end. Acts 3 says that Jesus will remain in heaven until the RESTORATION of all things. I don't know where this bitter idea that only evil can gain territory or influence the culture until the end comes from because that in itself is a false doctrine. Revelation says the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our God and that those who take part in the first resurrection will rule and reign with Christ.
