US Birth Rate Continues to Plummet: Understanding the Factors Behind the Declining Birth Rate

Показать описание
The United States is experiencing a significant and continuous decline in its birth rate, a trend that has been ongoing for several years. This decline has important implications for the country's demographic makeup, economy, and social structure.

Several factors contribute to the declining birth rate in the United States. Economic uncertainty, rising costs of childcare and education, delayed marriage, and changing societal norms around family planning are some of the key drivers. Women are increasingly pursuing higher education and career opportunities, leading to delayed childbearing or decisions to have fewer children. Additionally, access to contraception and family planning services has expanded, giving individuals more control over their reproductive choices.

Let it continue to fall. This county is continuously telling women in so many ways that it doesn't value our pressence or our very lives. Keep F-ing around, keep finding out. 🚫

Seems like the 4B movement was already in effect because women moved on silence and had no name assigned to what they were doing.

When are people supposed to make babies when they're working 8 days a week at 2-3 different jobs. People are sleepy.

The future children dont deserve to be birth in this hell. When you decide to have kids, have them in another lifetime, in reincarnation, in another universe or planet.

Well, for one it was already declining due to how *EXPENSIVE* just basic living is and NOW women are losing bodily autonomy COMBINED with men not being suitable partners worthy of procreating with. Women globally are comparing notes and we are coming out to the same conclusion. I watched a TikTok video of a childfree Russian woman who had *the exact same complaints* about Russian men that we have about American men. Ladies, the dust is global. Protect yourselves and most importantly *protect your wombs* .

I remember when they had a whole campaign to end teen pregnancy when I was a teenager. Today they don't even want to save the lives of pregnant women, why anyone would give birth is beyond me.

The teen pregnancy stuff is turning my stomach right now because I saw a TikTok of a child marriage survivor, they totally want to bring back barefoot and pregnant 14 year olds 🤢

Always boggles my mind that a country like the US still has a high maternal mortality rate. I'll gladly spare my hypothetical children from this hellhole

I wish teen pregnancy could be ZERO, ZILCH, NADA, 0🚫

So, what you're saying is...if we just straight up stop having babies, we might be able to make real changes in legislation? It's something to think about... Make our demands known. Give women protection, autonomy over our own bodies, access to affordable health care (whether they are low income or not) and paid family leave for all...

The pandemic literally trapped so many women in situations where they could've gotten out of it if it wasn't for the mandatory isolation and so on. It's good that a lot of women are waking up and taking back their autonomy from men.

Of course there was a baby bump during the panini. Some people were at home bored with their partner. They did the boom boom to pass the time. Naturally with them stealing women's rights, the birth rate continues to decline. We are also in an economic and housing crisis. Pay for kids with what money? Raise kids in what home?

America to pregnant women: good luck with that.

Considering how much they whine about the "low" birthrates, I thought these numbers would be significantly lower. 1-3% is literally nothing. These people are gaslighting.

It was interesting to see how hard US birthrates have declined since the 2008 financial crisis on that chart (the steep slope from which we never recovered). I wonder if that could be a clue to the reason they are going down. It's a lot like the people of childbearing age still aren't in a secure position to have kids . . . .

I'm not surprised that the birth rate is dropping. For women, having a kid isn't worth the risk anymore. Between medical professionals not caring about keeping the mother alive(or legally not being allowed to) and the law being written from the ground up to help men avoid accountability, it's not worth having kids.

I have two daughters and one son; I made sure my daughters were in the room for the birth of their brother. I wanted them to know where babies came from, I wanted them to know that child birth is painful.

I don't want any of my children to replicate with anyone until they are in their 30s. I don't care who they bring home, I want them to be happy; If they believe having children is something that they want, I want them to know and be prepared for all the future challenges they might face.

Someone needs to write a book titled, "What to Expect When You Are Not Expecting." The book should be about what to do when you aren't expecting a partner leaving the parent, when a partner is an inattentive parent, et. al. Chances are, there is a book already written for situations like this.
