How do you not want to listen to wisdom and experience. I'm sorry but in my upbringing you appreciate those kind of things.

And you could pick a year from 96 through the end of his career, and Booker did more business and accomplished more in that year than Hangnail ever will

Real talk from a guy that came up at the very absolute end days of the territory system and still saw how things used to be done. No time for friends in the business when the way you used to make money was based entirely on how many butts you put every 18in in the arena. These guys now show up and get paid the same whether they’re over or not and in AEW case most guys just sit home and don’t even show up at tv and get paid millions.

Advice isn't always universal and what works for you may not work for someone else, end of the day the dude is talented and if he's doing that on his own merit then more power to him

I feel like you need some people to actively not take advice, 9 times out of 10 they'll fail, but every now and then they'll discover something new and thrive. It'd be an issue if everyone wasn't taking advice, but you've gotta ignore advice sometimes in order to innovate.

Hangman's stance is just high risk high reward.

‘Brokeback’ Page doesn’t want wrestling advice…he just wants to know when the next man-man loving western movie is being cast…

The guy is a NATURAL!!

That’s because people like Adam Page are marks that think they know it all and they don’t. In fact they know fuck all outside of the Indi circuit.

If Hangman tried that in WWE he would get a reality check like you wouldn’t believe.

Wrestling is the only profession where a mass amount of new people don't want to take advice from people with experience

Go down to their level to bring them to yours = it was cm punks job to eat the bowl of crap taken from his higher ups plus take the high road.

That’s a heavy tab for anyone that’s been through what he has been through.

Can I get more info on this in a podcast? I never took Page to be the arrogant type, but maybe I'm still clouded by my perception of him as a rookie in Japan. What advice did he refuse to hear? Was it just him refusing the general offer of advice or was it something about specific advice?

Tony Khan should've told Adam Page. if he doesn't want to take advice from guys that got over, sold merch, sold out buildings, drew ratings. then what reason does Tony have to continue employing Adam Page? he's saying he doesn't want to learn all that. wasting everyone's time. get out.
