I made this colourful pocket knife out of a knife making kit and an awesome scrap of skateboard pattern plywood.

Great work! Safety tip - use painter tape over the blade while assembling to help reduce the risk of “get hands cut”

As a knife enthusiast I loved this project, you did a phenomenal job!

Only tip I can provide, be careful because slip joint knives don't like to stab into stuff: the last shot is very cool but since the blade is missing a lock of any kind it can be dangerous, also the smooth handles don't provide any guard for the fingers so the danger is both in the blade closing on you or the hand slipping and having the fingers running on the blade.
Since we have to deal with many injuries related to knives wvery day, best practice is to know the limits of each blade and this style of knife is very basic so it only loves to cut into stuff more than to stab.

Lovely work as always!

These scales look amazing! Thanks for showing how much work goes into even a kit knife. I had thought they were more finish ready out of the box. Looks great! Thanks for sharing!

Oh, you made the handles and assembled a pre-made knife kit.
Got a bit confused by the title. Thought you actually _made_ the entire knife.
This project came out great. A One-of-a-kind knife with unique handles. 👍
Independent pen-makers do this all the time. Get a kit with everything included.
Put the included barrel and cap material aside. Use custom wood or acrylic instead.
Makes for some beautiful and unique pens.

Nice job. The colors of the wood reminds me of traditional Peruvian clothes.

It looks so pretty, as everything you do. When I was little my grandfather gifted me his pocket knife since I really liked it for some reason. It was so devastating to realise that I´ve lost it somewhere in the field few months later. Maybe 12 years later I somehow found it in the same field while working, it was rusted and in non repairable state, but that was definately the same grandpas knife. That knife was very slick, small and comfortable. I still have it laying somewhere, I believe, just can´t do anything about it. I remember that my grandfather was using it for final touches in his woodworking. He didn´t do anything fancy, mostly wooden instruments like rakes and everything else what might come in handy in rural household. My grandfather has built many wooden houses, he has built quite literally almost everything in his household with his hands and I´ve lost that final touch.

That came out really nice. Just found your channel. US retiree, immigrant to Portugal and loving it. Starting to spend time learning metal working and anything that takes hands and a brain. Ate´ja

The scales turned out so dang cool. If I saw someone pull that out of their pocket, I would be so envious. Well done!
