Vera Pauw, a Dutch coach, managed the Republic of Ireland women's national football team from 2019 to 2023. Under her leadership, Ireland reached their first major tournament, the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2023. Following the dismissal of Vera Pauw as head coach of the Republic of Ireland women’s football team, the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) and players expressed a desire for a "fresh approach." FAI CEO Jonathan Hill explained that the decision was made to propel the team's growth and take Irish women’s football to the next level.

Is this the next level they were talking about ?

The goalie's hand hit the ball onto the bar, the bar hit the ball onto her head and into the goal, from how it looked in the replay.
