My favorite song for many reasons.




The first time I heard this song, I knew what it was talking about. In this song, Dan Reynolds puts himself in the predicament of a long distance relationship and tells us that life doesn’t always work out the way we want it to. He put the theme with a pop-rock style music. The reason the song relates to my life, well, I only told this to everyone I was able to, since 2nd grade, I had a crush on a girl (her name is Kaitlyn McDermott). But, I live just north of Ridge Manor, Fla. and she lived in Lakeland, Fla. last time I saw her which was June 5th, 2012. That’s about 70 miles and 7 years, 5 months, 28 days as of December 3rd, 2019. A little on-point, but I intended it to be like that. So, this song reminds me of me and Kaitlyn. Even though we were only together for about 4½ months, I still hold her and a lot more people in my heart more than my head.


By the way, if you are still out there Kaitlyn, I still love you.
