I have been thinking about this. But, still I don’t understand why 5 is such a big number.
We have a super computer, and this problem is so simple that we just make a computer do it.
What makes this have so many cases?
What about 6? Is it beyond no matter what? Even after we solve all the mysteries in our universe, 6 is the number beyond our ability?

Shouldn't the question be phrased as the minimum number of people to result in at least 3 friends AND 3 strangers? It's framed this way universally and am genuinely curious why this is considered the correct grammar when "or" seems to imply either condition (3 friends or 3 strangers) being satisfactory and therefore 3 would be the solution - all friends or all strangers. Thank you for posting!

Hey Mr. Heyman, very nice! Ramsey theory gets complicated real fast, doesn't it. My feeling is that you don't really explain your two different cases "3 or more friends" and "less than 3 friends" as being the "same" or symmetrical. You just change colors and expect us to know. (I mean, I realize, just not sure many others do.) Also, your video has a lot of "stangers" typos instead of "strangers". But I still think it is the best introductory example.

Please don't use red and green as example colours! A lot of people (5-8% males, 0.5-1% females) have real trouble differentiating these two colours

man your vidoes are going to be better if you pay way way more attention to your audio. I can hear your swallowing saliva - I don't want to. I can hear your breathing, just way too much. Play with the microphone and mouth's relative placement, your compression settings, etc.
