That's awesome that the kids are free at this zoo! My little Cyrus loves animals so much that I really envision hitting up different zoos wherever we travel in the coming years! The backstory of this zoo is cool, that the land was donated. There's a zoo in Michigan, John Ball Zoo, that has a similar story, land in the middle of the city that was donated because John Ball wanted city kids to have a local zoo that was easy to get to.

as far as i know, CD's hanging could be to reflect sunlight and repel some flying insects. or maybe it's just decoration and nice "rainbow" reflections on the flower depending on how the wind moves them, no?
