Thank you! I was banging my head against the wall trying to figure this out. I'm trying to wire up a mailmerge in word to the sharepoint address of the excel file we're using as a data source and couldn't get the path to work. this is exactly what i needed!

So... you can find the file path when you are already in the exact file location screen... How do I find out where the file is when I see it in 'recent files' or find it in the search bar? (because I don't know where it is saved exactly)

Thank you, this is great. One point - if the file in question has a lot of updates under 'Activity' (which is a heading above 'Path' in that sidebar), you have to scroll all the way past the activity updates to get the path button. I don't know if there is a way of minimising or hiding that activity list.

Nice one. I have used the link from the version history of the file to get the path, but this is better 👌

Awesome tip! I always use direct links and just copied the URL for the document library from the browser and then added the file name. You just saved me a few clicks 😂 👍👍

Thanks for all your video tutorials!
I have question:
How can i share a document on my sharepoint site and let the users directly open it in Word desktop application not as read only without bringing change to the original?
Thanks in advance

Thanks for this video. I am trying to use this method to input the file path to a folder so I can run a VBA script. The script keeps hanging on this line. When I put the file path into a browser I'm asked to log into SharePoint. Is that why my script isn't working? Any thoughts on work arounds?

What about a path to Search the entire folder for a given Folder Name. Example i have a Date folder>then a child folder. I want to search all Dates for that Child folder.
