The Blue Death is a book by Dr. Robert D. Morris. It's an interesting book about Cholera and the fight to prove waterborne diseases. It starts with John Snow, the father of epidemiology, and transitions into our current state of water management.

Honestly, this is SUCH a good book. It's the perfect mix of storytelling and information. It's educational, sharing the issues of our current water systems.

Hopefully by our interest in talking about these issues we will make life better for all.

Another book people might be interested in is Rachel Carson's Silent Spring.

I've been living as a Nomad, so filtering my water is extremely important. The container that you store your water in is also very important. Plastic is the worse as it leaches all sorts of nasty molecules that can cause cancer and other health issues. if you do use plastic make sure it is BPA free. I use glass and aluminum though as these materials are easily recycled and will not have an impact on the environment that plastic is having. By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish by weight.
