Good video but the fan harness should be removed with the fan assembly. You only need to disconnect it from the under hood harness. If it needs to be transferred to the new fan assembly that should be done with both assemblies out of the vehicle. Most new fan assemblies come with a new harness.

Great video, I'll be coming back here if I end up needing to replace the fan. I just bought a 2000 Focus, and I've been working to diagnose low speed fan not working. I just discovered that the fan harness isn't actually plugged in to the main wiring harness, and I can't find the correct plug hanging loose anywhere. I clicked through hoping to scope where it should be but I couldn't get a good enough view. I'm hoping the previous owner didn't just cut it off somewhere, that's beyond my level of expertise.

Can you show how the fan switch is installed on the focus mk1? if the engine fan does not work, is the main faulty part the fan switch

I have an 02 focus sohc, the clips on the fan to hold my sensor broke, would I have to swap out my fans in order to keep the sensor bracket in, or is there and alternative to that ?

What is the pigtail harness that connects to cooling fan, it’s not available anywhere except a scrap yard. Mine burned out and I replace it 2 months ago

Why did we do this job. My fans work but not when in operation. Changed thermostat. And old heat coil.

Zts 2.3 is not like the model you working on. All you have to do is disconnect the two upper plugs and jack the car up and push up the fan assembly up and slides right out.
