2018 Volvo V60 T6 AWD R-Design - POV First Impressions (Binaural Audio)

I review my initial thoughts on what it's like to drive the 2018 Volvo V60 T6 AWD R-Design.

The audio in this video was recorded with in-ear binaural microphones. If you wear headphones, your mind won't be blown, but it will go, "woah."

Here on TheTopher, I'm known for putting a camera on my face and driving cars. Whether it's about any of my personal cars or reviews on weekly test vehicles, the goal is to give you an idea of what a certain car is like to drive or live with. Most of my videos are filmed in POV, with my clothes on, and (for like the 5th time) with in-ear binaural audio. Which, if I haven't made it clear yet, is why you should wear headphones. Because of the whole "woah" factor. It's there, trust me. Try it, you'll see! Or don't. This is Volvo's peak IMO. Everyone praises the new design and interior but the V40/V60 R-designs are fantastic, the interior is waaaay underated!
Owning a V40 T5, probably soon adding a V60 Polestar to the garage aswell.

I know this might be outdated if you compare to its competitor. However, I just like how Volvo has always been a very low key luxury brand. On top of that, my family and I basically grow up with Volvo brand. While I already drive a base current gen S60, but I do wish to own a Volvo wagon one day. They are my ultimate dream car.

The new V60 looks like your typical Volvo meant for your old dad or grandpa. This model screams sporty stealth. Aside from the old looking center console, I love the interior.

Wait until they re-design it! The fact that Geely got Volvo is the best thing that happened to them, they got it right now.

hard to put the quality feel and experience into words. It's unlike anything I've driven. I like that there are knobs for the main functions in this old generation. All menu touch screens are diversions from watching the road.

I have a 2010 Volvo XC70 3.2... the best car I've ever owned. Simple, Ergonomic, and not a slouch. I love it.

I really want Volvo to re do the V60 because it’s the 2018 version but... it looks very 2012.

I finally drove a 17' V60 Cross Country T5, and with the base 2.0T I thought it would be slow but it wasn't.

The interior may be dated but I'd still daily one. Volvo wagons have always been great!

I love those older Volvos because they have hard buttons and before 2016 they had awesome 5 cylinder engines and 6 cylinder

I'm picking up a 2018 V60 tomorrow, but it's not the R-Design... it's the Dynamic. Can you tell us specifically what the difference is?

If I had the money I'd buy one of these over anything I'm driving right now. But the polestar version in that nitrous blue like color

Thought the polestar tune bumped the torque to ~315
