Hey everyone, I want to sincerely apologize for an oversight in this video. Unfortunately, I missed a few countries in the process. I truly appreciate your understanding and patience, and I’m grateful to those who pointed it out.

To make it right, I’ve done some extra research and included mythical creatures from the countries I missed below:

Tunisia: Tanit was a chief deity of Ancient Carthage, originating from a local Berber goddess and serving as the consort of Baal Hammon. She represented wisdom, civilization, and crafts, and was seen as a protector of homes and cities. Ancient North Africans marked her symbol on tombstones and houses for protection. Tanit was associated with the matriarchal aspect of Numidian society and was identified with the Egyptian goddess Neith and the Greek goddess Athena. Her worship extended across modern-day Tunisia and Algeria, with major temples in places like Thinissut and Cirta. Tanit was later Romanized as Dea Caelestis. Even today, in Tunisia, she is invoked in times of drought under the name "Omek Tannou" to ask for rain.

Aruba: The blue horses of Aruba are a captivating symbol of the island's mythology and natural wonder. According to legend, these horses emerged from the union of two ancient myths. One involves Dushi Hende, the island's spirit, believed to take the form of a mystical blue horse, bringing prosperity to those who encounter it. The other myth is about the hardy Aruban horse, which, over time, adapted to the island’s environment and developed a unique blue hue, blending with Dushi Hende’s mystical essence.
While the blue coloration may seem magical, it is actually due to a genetic trait called the **Dun Factor**, which affects pigment distribution in the horses' coats, resulting in their striking blue appearance. These horses, found across various breeds on the island, are celebrated during festivals, becoming a cherished emblem of Aruban culture, resilience, and folklore.

Thank you again for your support and feedback. I really appreciate everyone sticking with me!

I live in Maine, a state in the USA, and we've got a couple that not a lot of people realize. We have Cassie, a sea serphant in Casco Bay, the Specter Moose, the Palmyra werewolves, a werebear, and a couple other that overlap with other regions like Wendigo and bigfoot. My favorite is the Hide Behind. It can twist its body to fit behind any tree or shrub and you can NEVER SEE IT because its so good at hiding. Most you get is a glimpse in your peripheral vision.

In Finland there’s an old folk story about how the northern lights were born. According to it, there once lived an old wise man with his wife in the far reaches of the wilderness. During summer the nights were long and bright, but during winter they were long and dark. This saddened the wife, so the old man decided to do something about it. He built a huge bonfire, letting the flames dance high into the sky. When the flames subsided in the evening, brightly glowing coals were left in their wake. Now the man called forth the foxes in the forest and they came to him. On the tail of each fox, the wise man tied one of the glowing coals. Laced with his power, they didn’t burn the forest or the foxes carrying them, and the wise man told the foxes to run into the forest. As the foxes ran among the trees, light from the coals danced and flickered all the way to the sky. When morning came, the foxes removed the coals, only to put them on the following night. And now the wife had the northern lights to brighten the dark winter nights.

from panama - i wanted to add, the tulivieja's story and the reason she acts the way she does, is that she wanted to party instead of tending to her child, and when she got home the child had wandered off and drowned. in another version, when she was going out she took a horse, but lightning struck and she was sent flying and broke her back. she was unable to get to her baby and crawls at night with her broken back, crying for him. she specifically seeks out babies who have not been baptized. the purpose of this legend is to 1. scare young mothers into attending to their motherly duties at all times, otherwise their child might die and 2. scare kids into not wandering off! most latin american legends are meant to teach a lesson.
great video!!!

Hello .
Im from Kosovo and i was surprised to hear about that one, nice pick "goblins" but theres more famous ones, like "Babarroka" . Its hard to find things on internet about it because its mostly forgotten now but from what I have heard and remember . Is that it looks like a huge eagle or serphent like creature with wings that can fly and has huge claws to grab people . The best depiction or the way it looks is through "popeye rokh" (the eagle from popeye cartoon) . And its said to act the same like it ❤

My father used to scare me with stories of Krampus as a kid. He mentioned the bag thing, but he was probably told those stories by his grandmother, who was born in the 1880s.

Rule #1 of Canada; do NOT follow a cry for help coming from the woods! Some say its a wendigo or shifter, or yeti but more likely its a mountain lion trying to get some uber eats delivered.

Bahamian here. To add something to the Chickcharney 49:16 If you make fun of its appearance, it'll eventually find you and twist your neck as owls do.
