Neve Theme - Awesome & Fast, but... I HATE one little thing!

Overall, Neve is a nice & high performance free theme. The customizer and free content make it among the best free offerings in the WordPress repo, but can it compete with Astra, Kadence & Blocksy?

I have 2 massive blank side bars on the website, I have selected no sidebars, everything is selected as full width, but no matter what I do, then annoying 2 side bars are always there.
How to get rid of them ?
If I click on a post or page, the page header image is full width, but impossible to get the home page to have full width header image.
What to do to get rid of the side bars and to get the home page header image to be full width like all the other pages header image ?
All the settings look the same for each page.
So annoying, spending so much time trying to get rid of this problem but no success.
How to fix ?

Would you also happen to know how to have a different header image for different pages ?
Eg, one page could be for outside garden, while page is about kitchen, would like to be able to crop an image to be a header image for one page, and another cropped image for another page.
Was not able to find any plugin or code that could do that.

For the footer branding, you could try position absolute and send it off into oblivion. I know this usually works for stubborn branding. Good job with this test, it was detailed and informative.



Edit: Remove branding with footer working. ⬇ (Buy the theme to support the developer tho.)

Love your videos - thank you for the super content! I would love to see you do a tutorial on the best sso options to allow people to access Wordpress courses and other products on wp and other sites. There is obviously friction to asking potential customers to do new sign ups and I think lots of people would love an sso solution even if they don’t know it! You do niche tech so well I think this would be a great topic and there is very little good content out there on this! Thanks again for the super content so far!

Did I hear PHP? Here is one way to address the footer:

In the file:

Comment out or remove line 104:

add_action( 'neve_after_slot_component', [ $this, 'add_footer_component' ], 10, 3 );

Neve copyright goes bye bye. It's a quick and dirty "fix" and I would guess any updates to the theme would probably restore it. To be fair, I like NEVE so much I ended up paying for it.

Edit: It should be pointed out the Neve developers have produced an enormous amount of detailed documentation. That doesn't have anything to do with the footer issue in the free version, but they have done so much so well it should be pointed out as a feature.

I found a way to change the footer text on the free version. Let me know if you are still interested to know how. But I couldn't find a way to make to header transparent. Is there a way to do it? Let me know.

I lost here. I have downloaded and installed the Neve theme. I picked the same starter site as you but the only things I'm allowed to edit are the header and the footer. None of the blocks or anything else are clickable for me to edit. Do you know what I am doing wrong?

I tried to use your css, but it makes copyright double, for some unknown reason. Anyway, I SOLVED THE ISSUE with making copyright page and putting it in a footer navigation

Could you please create a video one day explaining the maintenance of such VPS. What is the routine to manage it. How often one should check things up and in what way, to ensure everything works smoothly. There are many videos on how to set up wordpress on such server and they are quite easy to follow but what stops me from going for it is the lack of knowledge on how to manage such server. Is it actually complicated?
