Getting above-average returns in the stock market is not only a function of picking the right stocks. It is also a function of structuring your portfolio in a clever manner. Warren Buffett is the greatest investor of all time, so I think he is the best subject to study to learn about portfolio allocation. In this video you will learn that his approach, which could be called “Focus Investing”, differs a lot from what you might have heard before and/or have been taught in school.

Top 5 takeaways from The Warren Buffett Portfolio:
00:00 Intro
00:48 1. Focus investing
03:58 2. The higher the probabilities, the bigger the bets
06:37 3. Is focus investing super-risky?
10:03 4. An alternative portfolio benchmark
12:23 5. The Warren Buffett principles

My goal with this channel is to help you make more money and improve your personal finances. How to become a millionaire? There are many ways to get there – investing in the stock market, becoming a stock trader, doing real estate investing, or why not becoming an entrepreneur? But whether you are interested in how to invest in stocks or investing strategies for creating passive income with rental properties – I hope to be able to provide you with a solution (or at least an idea) here. Warren Buffett - the greatest investor of our time - says that you should fill your mind with competing ideas and then see what makes sense to you. This channel is about filling your mind with those ideas. And in the process – upgrading your money-making toolbox.

Buffett the G.O.A.T.

Favourite Buffett quote: “Someone's sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.”

03:15 wait, as you increase diversification, the most probable return shifts to the right. That’s an argument FOR diversification and those broad market index funds.

Thank you. Warren Buffett is a freaking investing genius. This video is a real eye opener on how to invest intelligently. One of Warren Buffet's investment principles concerning looking at a company's management, they takeaway for me is the question, "Are they true capitalists?"

This is the best Buffet video I've heard. A lot of it is the same, invest in what you know, invest cheap, ect. But these are the missing points. Especially the part about if it's your best stock don't trade it just because it's allocation is big. Usually people tell you to rebalance, but after this it makes no sense to rebalance unless it looks like the company is done growing and you can make more money elsewhere

Nice video as always !! Mr. Buffet and Benjamin Graham are my mentors !! Focus investing talked to me since day 1 !!! I started in january and now have a 5.7 dividend yield. On time that'll be better !! I'll combine dividend with growth investing in a near future. I'm on the buy and hold strategy.. Take care from Canada ! 👍 💪💪

11:41 is a great list!! My advice: take the amount of money you want to invest and calculate your possible returns. If you are not able to see your portfolio go down 30% you should not go into stocks. If you’re sure about the company‘s your invested in, you will add more shares in time of fear.Sounds easy but it is tough! At least: don’t sell off, if it is a great company!

I followed every video you made and it's all wonderful ... I hope only you make video of valuation model that warren buffet use systematically ...I know may many may be not interested in a mathematical method ...but also many want your simplified method of introducing the concept thoroughly.I suggest (financial modeling for equity research book ) or any other book to explain this subject.
cheers

This seems very interesting. I agree with WB's view on less diversification. What I need to do more research on is, at what point (capital point/life point) does the average investor needs to switch from more focused to less focused investing or vice versa. Maybe I am overthinking it but in markets like the ones today, i feel like being diverse or maybe holding larger amounts of cash could be a great choice as well. MHO

That's what funds do. They create a fund of a few focused stocks and they use a bench mark to out perform.

Diversification is instead of having 1 stock have 10.
Not 1000 stocks.

Ordinary people should be humble enough and content with index returns, such as SPY or QQQ, don't overestimate your capability and be greedy in attempt of picking focus stocks and beating the markets consistently.

From what I've read about Warren Buffett, it sounds as if he utilizes several investment approaches or strategies that in many ways are interwoven and maybe even extensions of some of the strategies. I've read Buffett's name linked to Contrarian Investing [this seems to be illustrated at 9:02], but I've never seen any book summaries on this approach on the Swedish Investor's site; unless it goes by another name. I'm going to have to look at this video a few more times.

Thanks, just watched the video, would love to see you talk about Peter Lynch's portfolio or performance at least since he once had 1400+ stock in his Magellan Fund and still manage to beat the market, I've recently been thinking that Peter is far a "better" stock picker than Warren Buffett, what do you think?
