Bagpipe drone cap - Who works with metal, I need your opinion

First I was told it was stamped brass. Then I was told it was cast brass. Nobody wants to attempt to make a copy. Everybody tells me just to replace them all with new ones. I don't want new ones. The caps on these bagpipes are unique and haven't been seen on any other set. They're worth preserving.

Bagpipes: Unknown make. Circa 1890-1900. Cocuswood and ivory.

I would say cast brass or bronze with engraving on out side of cap though that picture was a bit fuzzy
