Not many people realize that parrots like Tico most likely aren’t trained to make these sounds most of the time. It’s more or less picked up over time hearing the same things over and over. My African grey literally learned to say full sentences, including how to play Bob Marley on the Alexa (we have another parrot named Marley). They are so intelligent and so beautiful.!

Tico is kind of famous, has his own youtube page. It's remarkable how well Tico has trained his human to play the guitar, fantastic guitar work, I can only imagine the patience Tico has to get his human to that level.

He is amazingly on key. That means he’s hearing the music and pairing his voice with it. In order to do this, he has to be able to predict where the music is going. Most people can’t do that.

When my friend leaves for work she sets the CD player on Beethoven's 5th Overture.... playing repetitively with her bird in the room.
Now her bird can whistle, I believe it was Beethoven's Fifth Symphony to the note.
