2022 Porsche Macan in Miami Blue

The Macan range begins with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that now delivers 261 hp and 295 lb.-ft. of torque – an increase of 13 hp and 22 lb.-ft. compared to the 2021 model it replaces. The result is 0 to 60 mph in just 5.8 seconds when equipped with the optional Sport Chrono Package (0.3 seconds quicker than previously) and a top track speed of 144 mph.

The Macan S is also equipped with a more powerful engine for the 2022 model year. Generating 375 hp and 383 lb.-ft. of torque, the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 from the outgoing Macan GTS now sits under the hood of the latest S model, with 60 mph reached from standstill in 4.4 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono Package – half a second quicker than the 2021 Macan S. Top track speed is 160 mph. The new Macan S also comes with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard.

Porsche doesn't stand behind the quality of their vehicles. The transfer case on 2015 Macan S has failed twice now in only 27, 000 miles. This is a known issue which caused Porsche to extend their warranty to 7 ys. Their "improved" transfer case lasted only 2 years 2 months and 9, 000 miles. I am out of warranty by 6 weeks and Porsche turns their back on problem and sticks me for $3, 200 repair. Don't buy a Porsche w/o extended warranty for entire length of time you expect to own it. #1 rated warranty company - Endurance - won't even sell coverage on Macan. That should tell Porsche and all potential buyers something. Customer experience is far from an expected premium car brand experience. I will return to Mercedes for next car
