Ukrainian rescue workers search for survivors after Russian strike on Dnipro

Russian missile attack that struck an apartment building on Saturday (January 14) in the east-central Ukrainian city of Dnipro killed five people and wounded 27, including 6 children, Valentyn Reznichenko, the regional govenor, said.

"Twenty-seven people are injured. Six children are among them. All are in hospital," he said.

Video released by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine showed rescue workers at the site searching for the injured and dead.

A rescue worker could be seen reaching a resident trapped on a balcony by using a ladder, while others were being helped to escape over the rubble.
