Whatever legacy Egon thinks he has, is now tarnished with this whole rhyme book stunt. What a sad little man he is.

These guys are so deep into music and collecting it's ridiculous, I love it.

I like how he brings up the money angle and regrets about past purchases.  Those are the kind of stories you will always hear from the deepest record collectors.

After this, I'm officially an Egon fan. Dude has some of the greatest stories.

In terms of sheer obscurity, I think the only person who could possibly surpass this is Madlib. Even guys like Shadow and all the big producers of the 90s haven't tapped into rare music from the unknown corners of the world like Madlib and Egon have. Quality over quantity -- literally every record he pulled out here is worth thousands.

I love watching all these crate diggers DJ collections while I don't collect vinyl because they are hard to find in my city I do collect video games from the Atari 2600 up. So I get a kick out of watching other collectors and their collections. It makes me feel better that other people have bigger collection than my video games collection.

Thank you, Egon. You have introduced me to so much music and my heart has swelled because of your efforts. Eternally grateful.

If I ever say the words "I'll buy anything from Zambia, " that's when my friends should set up a record collecting intervention.

4:45 that album is The Feed-Back by The Group, a great Krautrock record with a young Ennio Morricone on trumpet

I love the fact that these guys get the weirdest records that hardly anyone has ever heard of or come from around the world.

I've heard of Egon but I never knew his work or what he looked like etc. After seeing this I really like the guy. He's himself he has knowledge he just seems real cool. I'm definitely very interested and going to find stuff he's done. Anyone have any suggestions of his work?
