The Cheshire Cheese Company has been in the news recently due to the fact that they have been struggling under the new red tape imposed upon them since the end of the Brexit transition period. They reached out to the government for assistance but were met with absurdity. They were advised to set up in the EU if they wanted to survive as a company.

”It is probably better if you setup a business in the EU”. You didn’t see that written on the side of a bus.

Someone in DEFRA is going to be sacked for being overly honest with the public.

Nigel Farage reminds me of the Monorail salesman from the Simpsons. He's skipped town and on to the next grift.

Why do we have to rely on Max or Phil for this kind of thing? Why isn't the BBC holding the government to account in this way? This isn't bias; it's what actually happening right here, right now. In other words...News!

I wonder how much worse things have to get before my 55 year old father admits voting for brexit was a mistake.
Btw Max, as for farage's whereabouts, he's been appearing in youtube ads asking for us to donate money to his 'UK wealth plan'. So basically another scam.

Why isn't this on mainstream news? This needs to be on TV and on all the front pages of the tabloids. Makes me so angry.

There is absolutely no way to hold them to account. The voices may get louder but they will just ignore them because they don’t care. Doesn’t matter if someone brings it up in PMQ’s.... Boris never answers a question....

Russian money, Oligarchs getting peerages, govt telling companies to set up abroad. Right in front of our faces.

Actually Max, had they used the .gov online checker, some time ago they may well have been advised to set up an EU subsidiary. It has been a quiet government advice policy for a while. I am a small manufacturer of specialists metalwork supplying mainly to the EU and USA and the system told me I should either move or set up an office in EU territory. I just think these people couldn't conceive that it would be so bad and so didn't think they needed to do anything. Brexit is a trainwreck for me, I am having to completely reorganize my sales structure and find distribution agents for private sales rather than sell direct via a webshop.

You do realise the some of the damage is irreversible. Like financial services will not come back. Even if you rejoin

Lets summarise brexit, three weeks on:

1. Food is rotting in containers at the docks.
2. A polish lorry driver was fined because he didn't have a Kent Access Permit - well, he did but it expired while he was sorting out the paperwork.
3. Sandwiches being confiscated.
4. Mastercard increasing card charges fivefold because they can.
5. The Loss of UK financial passporting rights to the EU.
6. The UK dept of trade advising UK companies to set up in the EU.
7. Empty shelves in NI, some in the UK.
8. ROI ferries bypassing the UK land bridge to the EU.
9. Clothes and other things being burned because it's cheaper than to give them away or return them to the UK.
10. A free trade deal that is anything but thanks to VAT and other costs.
11. UK trawlers docking in Denmark because the paperwork is easier.
12. Shellfish fisherman protesting over lost catches and paperwork.
13. The UK telling UK fishermen to "fish less" because of the EU paperwork.
14. The UK customs forms not being complete enough to handle all of the situations that we've come across.
15. Trade deals that the UK have made with other countries that are SO GOOD that they are secret.

I know I've missed stuff but these are the brexit dividends that I can think of right now.
