Yup. I hate pranks and am unable to grasp sarcasm most of the time. My first grader was off school with me all day and when my husband came home he told her about this awful "day for pranks" and she got mad that i didn't tell her and she wasted prank day not pranking...

I absolutely hate April fool's and decide not to trust anything from that day like videos, emails, things people tell me, etc. I ended up having to do that cause i use to get tricked too much like ive gotten to the point where if people tell me stuff i refuse to believe it and tell them if its really true to tell me tomorrow instead and then ill truly believe it otherwise ill assume they were trying to trick me

Yes i feel like people always say oh do the joke the person would like. But if you ask them if they like said thing it takes away the surprise joke aspect defeating the purpose. Also some people say oh im gonna do a prank and then they say they’re having a heart attack or some other serious health issue or someone they know was in an accident and then April fools it’s a joke. Like no don’t scare people like that. I feel it’s a useless holiday but I thought no one else would agree but glad someone gets it. I also have a disability which makes me take things literally for reference.

I understand. But, my family also doesn't celebrate it because my mom's grandma had died on April 1st, so we dont celebrate out of respect. (We take death very seriously in my family.)
