I can't figure out how to get the axle out. The Haynes manual says there is a snap ring that you remove with a piece of wood and a hammer by striking the inner tri pot but when I do nothing

Why check the brake fluid at the end? Having the caliper hung allowed for more spaces for fluid from the reservoir to go?

The rust belt has more need for a ball joint separator. If your truck is old it could be harder to take out of its tapered bore than you think, and the accepted means of hitting it with a hammer is not enough. A pickle fork is not enough either, so be preparred.. 🏵 🌺

Why was the upper control arm replaced?

Why would you remove the bearing if your removing the knuckle to do the axle? No reason to remove the bearing. At all.

Good luck with the pry bar on the axel flange 😂 you'll most likely need a slide hammer attached to vice grips or special crow's foot lookin thing

Really you can just pop both Ball joints and skip all the other disassembling except abs wire

I know nothing about cars. Why don't I have front axels like this on my jeep? I don't see a differential where they'd go into. 2006 Jeep Liberty Sport
